Welcome to Vidya Labs Tech. By downloading, accessing, or using our desktop applications (including Vani Knowledge Studio and Astra) and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Vani or Astra, you agree to abide by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our applications or services.

2. User Responsibilities & Data Security

Both Vani and Astra are primarily designed as local, privacy-first applications. This means:

• Data Storage: Your notes, mind maps, snippets, and files are stored locally on your device. We are not responsible for any data loss due to hardware failure, accidental deletion, or software corruption.
• Backups: It is highly recommended that you manually back up your "Vani" folder (in Documents) and "AstraAssistant" folder (in LocalAppData), or utilize built-in cloud sync features where available.

3. Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer

Vani and Astra utilize artificial intelligence (both local and cloud-based models via API endpoints) to generate text, summaries, translations, and other content.

• AI models can hallucinate or produce inaccurate, biased, or incomplete information.
• You agree that Vidya Labs Tech is not liable for any academic, professional, or personal consequences resulting from the use of AI-generated content. Always verify important facts independently.

4. Premium Subscriptions & Payments

Through our website, we offer premium features and license keys for our applications via monthly subscriptions.

• All purchases are final. As digital applications, payments are non-refundable.
• You may not share, distribute, or resell your account login credentials or license keys. Doing so will result in immediate account/key termination without refund.

5. Prohibited Conduct

When using Vani, Astra, and associated services, you agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, logic, or API keys from the applications.
• Use the apps to generate or distribute illegal, harmful, or abusive content.
• Attempt to breach the security of the website, the apps' integration with third-party cloud providers, or the license verification servers.

6. Third-Party Services

Our applications integrate with various third-party services (e.g., Cloudflare, DeepInfra, Google, Microsoft, Wikipedia). Your use of these integrations is also subject to the Terms of Service of those respective platforms.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vidya Labs Tech and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the apps.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes, but it is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

9. Refund & Cancellation Policy
